What I’ve been up to

Hey everyone, just dropping in to say that I obviously haven't been getting much work done on Run Dead as of late! This is due to a combination of school and some other mischief that I've been getting into. I will say, however, that the Run Dead prototype so far is looking sweet. And also awesome.


Side note: I just got back from PAX and I definitely got to meet some fellow indie game developers, which was awesome! (And I also met some less-than-indie developers as well which was awesome too)

I'm a little late posting this here (whoops!) but I did an interview with Game2Gamer about FlipSide that you should check out.


In other news, I've been super ultra busy lately so I haven't had much time for Run Dead. But! In about a week things are going to get much better and I'll be able to get some serious crunch time in. I've been thinking about making Run Dead an episodic game - maybe three volumes, or something like that. I think it's a pretty good model because a.) it will allow me to get releases out earlier, b.) it fits well with the comic/graphic novel theme I'm going for, c.) I'd be able to make the entire story longer overall, and d.) it's more fun to follow a story that way! Well, at least I think so. I understand a lot of people don't like the episodic content model, but realize that I'm not trying to milk it - I really think it's the best way to go. Let me know what you think.

In other news, I am slowly but surely still working on Run Dead. I've decided to change up the art style a bit.
